'Robert Dove had a childhood ambition to stand on a uninhabited island. As a result, Robert and four friends find themselves in the Hebrides for a whole week, on the bird sanctuary island of Inch Crag. Unfortunately the island has a bad reputation, stemming from an evil sorcerer that lived there 300 years before, and most visitors don't seem to come back. Soon after they arrive, Robert is killed by an eagle, and it isn't long before the others are fighting for survival against the forces of nature, and the animals and the birds that attack them seem uncannily intelligent.
